Environmental Protection is one of the main company goals of the smart brand. That means economical handling of natural resources. Therefore our goal is: More recycling thus less wasting. We think from the beginning to the end. Already during the development process, the environmental and recycling-equitable design has a high significance.

A good example of this is the implementing of homogeneous materials which are used for the instrument panel, wheel arch lining, and the underbody lining. These allow for a simple dismantlement and high-grade recycling. Furthermore the lining of the wheel arches on our vehicles are made of 100% recycled plastic. The advantages are obvious: Eco-friendly and recyclable. Through the environmental guidelines of Daimler AG, we obligate ourselves to constant improvement of environmental capabilities of our products.

These are the benchmarks by which we judge ourselves day to day in order to improve the environmental performance of our vehicles even further.
